Prayer Groups

We meet together to pray in homes prior to our Thursday evening fellowship, word and discussion gatherings. We come together to pray for each other, for specific needs and to listen to God speak to us in our prayer. The early church was founded with prayer. In fact, right through the New Testament, we are encouraged to 'pray without ceasing', 'continue steadfastly in prayer', 'give thanks' and 'make your requests made known to God'.

The very first chapter of Acts records a group of people meeting in a house to pray with one accord. Acts 1:14. We read in the New Testament when people met together to pray, the Holy Spirit moved in very real ways that changed many lives. As we meet together in homes, we believe that God hears our prayers and answers them!

Our usual practice is also to have a monthly day of fasting and prayer for those who are able to participate. At the close of the day we meet together for prayer and then fellowship around some food.
